the jellyfish is back! Posting about 3 outings during these 2 weeks, which 1 is during camp. =D

1. SDC outing

Went out on thursday afternoon with Delta to SDC to learn more about Singapore, NS, army stuff and of course SDC itself.

We started off with a bus tour to see some army stuff, including some towers, buildings, etc. Nothing much about it. Next, we entered SDC and watched a few short clips about the Merlion and how SG forces handle an emergency which is really cool! ^^

Some Delta ppl also played a quiz game on the knowledge of SG, which was seriously difficult. After the game was sort of an OTOT walk. Had a short cafe break of eating a small cake which could not compare to the standard of our night snack. After that, we went back to SDC and watched people play an army rescue mission game which should be interesting. We then walked to the army museum to watch another movie clip about army operations. Don't really like the last part as it is seriously not relevant to my current NS life at all, since I am in SCDF. o.o

A lot of ppl seemed excited upon seeing the AED while walking out of the cafe, seems like medic lessons have really influenced a lot of rescuers. Good job! SDC has much more interesting stuff compared to a few years before, maybe one day i should go there again. =D

Did I mention I saw SY during the trip, perhaps 27th Jan is a field-trip day for uniform groups. Haha! Overall the outing is really fun and meaningful. =P

2. Outing with 50-cents clan

Went out with Marcus, XW, WB and JM for a 'bunk-outing' last sat.

Went to Chong Pang for dinner which nothing interesting happened. Unless you call XW, WB and Marcus critcising mine and JM's attire to their hearts' content as interesting.

After that we went to Bugis to get some new clothes for JM, and a new cap for me. Nothing much bah.

For the last item, we accompanied JM to get a mousepad with click 5 photo for CY's birthday which really looked not bad. =D Perhaps the best activity of the whole trip.

3. 7th week outing

Part 1 - Fieldtrip with Aaron

Went out with Aaron at around 2pm to visit some shops that display cosplay items. Never really saw such shops before since I am really like a mountain tortoise during BP and JC life. =D

Somehow cosplay items really love to feature anime and jap school uniforms, I really didn't know that previously. Aaron is seriously knowledgeable about all these stuff, the extra accesories needed, the personalities of diff anime characters and how the clothing can be made or bought. Hormat Kehalapan to him, lol! Apparently Plaza Singapura and a shop in Chinatown sold a lot of anime stuff which many retail shops in neighbourhood shopping malls do not. Cool sia! Really an introduction to cosplay.

After the fieldtrip we went to Ah Mei Cafe to get a short snack before we set off to our different destinations. A rather meaningful fieldtrip! Ty Aaron! ^^

Part 2 - Small outing with CT and War

Met CT and War at around 5pm for a small meal at West Mall while waiting for the rain to stop before going CSC to bowl. Talked about my life in CD, life about War working and other rubbish. ^^

After that, we went CSC to play 1 game as the game pricing rate is really ex. Our scores are around the same w/o PH around, and everybody scored around 70+ points. Very cui, but oh well. It was really fun, and definitely much less stressful compared to the 'bunk-outing'. ^^

Really great to see friends from PJ again, this should be the happiest outing in these 2 weeks. ^^

the jellyfish is back! The 5th week is generally ok, except for friday where we are punished rather excessively, but oh well!

Went out with Tean, JM and SY yesterday to West Mall again to talk rubbish, talk about life and random stuff. Saw ZH yesterday also, and apparently he went to west mall to fix his com, hope his com can recover soon. =P

Somehow JM had a random ranking about random stuff. So for the theory and practical part, these ppl have the following ranks...

LOL to JM's Ranking!!! Overall is a good day.

Heard next week there is a bunk outing, hope it will happen! ^^ JY to everybody for the 6th week.

the jellyfish is back! Today went out with War, PH and WL.

Funny, how I can still get used to civilised ppl, who i know would not spit vulgarities at a probability of 0.3 or more every sentence, or say vulgarities smoothly like connectors in a sentence. ^^

So anyway, 5pm met up at woodlands station and ended up going AMK hub, ignoring all previous suggestions such as Jalan Kayu and Plaza Singapura. War was late as usual, no surprises there. We then went to eat pepper lunch at an official pepper lunch store. Ordered a beef pepper rice with ginger sauce, caramel ice-cream and non-sugar green tea.

The rice was already fantastic, and the ginger sauce made the beef taste better! ^^ The serving was also not bad, just the right amount to make me feel full. The non-sugar green tea was ok, nothing much about it. I would not try Pepper Lunch's caramel ice-cream again, weird taste and is also too sweet...

Watched Jack Neo's Ghost also Laugh movie or smth like that after dinner, which is a really random funny show, not really horror, but the ending of the 2 stories are really weird. I prefer the army part over the urban part, probably because I am in Civil Defence and thus understand army things better, wahaha. Overall is a nice movie, go watch if you haven't watch!

Enjoyed the short 4 hours! Hope there are more outings like this in future! ^^

1. Everybody is a year older, and therefore expecting another birthday within the next 365 days. =P

1. Summarised life in BRTC

A lot of 1st time happenings I experienced. It is the 1st time that

- I felt strong homesick, even the one in OBS is nothing compared to this.
- I understand endurance training is beyond endurance PT lessons.
- I saw someone almost mentally breaking down due to high stress.
- I heard life experiences totally different from JC life.
- I have to resist and endure my anger against people.
- I am the minority for a lot of common things in life.
- I socialised with people from all walks of life.
- I thought of repayment, retribution and revenge.

Generally woke up like 4+ in the morning and sleep at around 10 at night.

PT lessons for Delta company are manageable, compared to other companies. Really can make people lose weight, and yea muscles ache, all the random stuff in the guidebooks are real. Wahaha!

Hated endurance training but loved aqua jogging, since the hot sun + swimming pool = great combination. ^^

Footdrill lessons are fun, sad that I am not in the footdrill squad, but oh well. Practise hard, and hopefully can learn something fun in the next few weeks.

The food in BRTC is great! Even for the low-fat diet my company is having, curry chicken, curry veg, fishcakes, sausages, nt bad wor! =D

Lectures and tutorials in the afternoon really can make people sleep, another endurance training. ^^

Somehow a lot of ppl can really echo out loud during fridays, probably due to it being a book-out day. Haha! People also look happier and gain back their sense of humour as the day passes by in the week. =D

So a typical day goes like this.

5: Wake up, water parade, 5BX
6: Breakfast, bunk cleaning
8: PT lesson
10: A random lesson
12: Lunch + bunk cleaning again
2: A random lesson
4: PT lesson
6: Dinner
7: Water parade, resting in bunk
10: Sleep

Starting to get used to life in BRTC, but the day is still very long! Nvm, 5 more weeks of PTP, and is back to 5 weeks of mugging, and then POP and goodbye to the worst period of my life! ^^

2. Spending New Year's Eve with click 5.

Yong Xiang was absent.

So anyway, met up with SY, CY, JM and Tean for dinner at causeway point at around 4.30pm. Went to eat a simple meal in the foodcourt and talked about life in BRTC and gave advice to CY about surviving in BMT. =P SY and Tean should be slacking all the way, so not much to be done there! Ate the sesame seed sauce fish rice for dinner from Pots and Pans.

How was the food, you may ask. Learning from my Sir, 'OUTSTANDING!'

Speaking of that, after we have learnt the oustanding from our Sir, we used this knowledge and application swiftly in the following scene.

PTI: So recruits, how was the training today?
Many recruits: OUTSTANDING!
(Whispered to myself: Bloody liars)
PTI shouted: Fk you all outstanding! This is meant to be tiring!
Recruits: ... we are meant to reply this... (mumbles, curses)

PTI: So i ask u all again, how is the training today!!?
Recruits: Bloody tired la, want to die already... (curses)
Sir: Fk u all!!!
Recruits: LOL!! =D

Oh anyway back to the outing. We then went to Party World KTV at Civic Centre until 8pm to sing a few random songs. JM was seriously very enthu, the others were not bad, and I was coughing all the way. :( Click 5's taste of songs seriously differs a lot from o3-ians. o.o The dosage of chinese songs has been cut by at least half, and perhaps I prefer the former's taste. Haha.

The snacks consisted of tapioca chips and wheel snack, which were ok. I drank cold chrysanthemum tea for the drinks, which was ok too. The total amount added up to $10.35 per person. For about 2 hours with snacks, drinks and friends around u, the price seems reasonable. ^^

After 8, SY left us (probably to find Reg or his parents) and the rest of us then went my house. =D

2030 hrs: Went down to the shelter near my house and I practised footdrill, while Tean was playing his TNT sparklers. Practising footdrill with JM was fun, since u can really learn smth and revise from ur mistakes w/o waiting for anyone who is slow...

Also learned some future learning points from JM and showed Tean and CY how a water parade is like. ^^

2115 hrs: Slacked in my room and played cards. Played cheat and 21-point or dunno wad is that called. JM sucked in the former and is pro in the latter. Punishments were push-ups. Lol! Never did a lot of push-ups. I think only 8 for that night.

2230 hrs: Bathe, slack, stone, and talk about life. JM and I also updated about our life in BRTC, while Tean and CY were chatting. =D

2350 hrs: Watched TV and counted down. =D

0000 hrs: Happy new year! 6 handshakes took place. =P

0005 hrs: We went down to 7-11 since JM and CY wanted to taste some alcohol. Tean and I didn't try any alcohol though. A lot of ppl were wandering about the carparks and pathways at this auspicious timing. ^^ After buying the drinks, we walked back to the shelter and played more sparklers. I tried playing 3 of them, 2 of them i wrote wishes for the year, the other 1 was a testing-out. Practised more footdrill.

0055 hrs: Went back to my house since Tean was tired.

0100 hrs: Lights off, last movement, sleep!

It was another bright and beautiful day.

0700 hrs: Being told to wake up at this timing, then realised the rest were still sleeping. Chat with my father about life. ^^

0745 hrs: Wash up, and we went to the small hill in front of my house and demonstrated 5BX to CY and Tean. First time I played the role of a random PTI, how cool is that! Everybody enjoyed the short and sweet 5BX. =P

0830 hrs: Breakfast, with me eating a dim sum breakfast consisting of pau, prawn dumplings and prawn chee cheong fun. Nice! ^^

0915 hrs: stoned, slacked and played more cards, with half-squats as punishments instead. Talked about a lot of random rubbish. ^^

1030 hrs: Tean, CY and JM decided to go home and have some rest. So thats a goodbye and it was indeed a meaningful countdown with click 5. ^^
