the jellyfish is back! Today is the last day of the 6-day break for June. Aw. =( Never blog for very long le, since I was rather busy... =D So shall throw all the things that happened since early June in this post.
Contents:
1. Random spamming on recent ambulance cases
2. 19th birthday celebrations
3. 4th June dim sum with parents
4. 2-off happenings. O_O
5. Spending 2nd 6-days break.
6. Other random stuff
==============================================
1. Random spamming on recent ambulance cases
I saw 2 ppl died. 1 due to suicide, 1 witnessed collapse. Very jialat sia, the wife of the suicide case crying very loudly and apparently would run to hug her dead husband if not held by her son. The witnessed collapse... Somehow the old lady was prepared for this to happen, but then she still cry sia. Feel really sad for both of them, esp the witnessed collapse case. Just collapse only still can save sia, but still die. Praying hard it is not due to the CPR.
On the other end of the happiness meter, 2 patients once again saw the Earth after the holy water was given to them, dextrose. =P
Just like the qigong aunty, they also dunno my existence, until after we IV dextrose, the aunties then look at me and smile. Lol!! Got 1 daughter really cared about her mother, kept on asking me whether her mother is all right. Actually the whole crew is very angry that we got a call at 0727 hrs, but then she said thank you when we reached KTPH.
Ok lo, got a thank you, suan le. =D Surprisingly both hypo cases were at Yew Tee. Maybe Yew Tee is famous for such cases bah, haha.
Also watched the rare lunar eclipse at 0330 hrs. Before 0230 hrs no call sia, until the police go call for an ambulance for 1 drunkard, so just nice watch the red moon at 0330 hrs. Ok la, not as red as I thought. A lot of wind and rain though! I still have no idea why is everyone so fascinated about this red moon thing. -.-
Recently got SAF combat medics attached to Yishun Fire Station, and somehow the days were rather fun... Yea.
D (3/6) SAF Syafiq
N (7/6) SAF Faizal
3/6
That day was unusually peaceful, so Syafiq got a rather peaceful day in station enjoying the delicacies of Yishun Fire Station and KTPH. Very enthu about calls and his Hazelnut Latte~ Ppl got plan for future sia! =D
So that day basically spent almost the whole day chatting in the office and canteen. Talked about life, relationships, food, and discussing wad should I do to kill time during off days. I also tried the Mr.Bean peanut glutinous ball in soya milk. Ok la, got 1 bonus ball (huat ah!) and I felt... nothing much. -.- It is just another random ball. Like no difference from normal leh!
Encik Jamil treated me to canteen lunch including 1 mackarel? Suay sia. I ate lunch inside ambulance, and just as I was about to put the fish in my mouth...
"Station 31 ambulance call, turn-out Alpha 311..."
Walao eh! I want to eat my lunch sia! X_X
7/6
Faizal actually followed Zul, but then 311 broke down and thus he followed me in 312. ^^ We cannot waste a person's precious attachment by hunting ambulances in the night right? His life not as good as Syafiq, as it was a normal night. The fun part should be around 1am, where we chatted about life in the pantry eating my home-packed sausage bread. =D
That night should be the last duty of this attachment, so the ppl must be rather guai lan to end his attachment with a collapse case. At least he would have a much richer and fulfilling story to tell the rest of his combat medics. =D
SAF attachments are somehow fun. I wonder if this happens once in every 3 months. Skali PH or Warren become combat medic, I will laugh if they are attached to Yishun. Wahaha!
Finally, the end of random medic cases spamming.
Total number of cases so far: 138
===================================================
2. 19th birthday celebrations
Unlike all the previous countdowns at home or anywhere else, I counted down in Yishun office with Encik Fazly. Got no calls after 2230 hrs, so just sat in the office, talked about life, and watch him make the training roster until about 0130 hrs. =D
0130: Sleep
0700: Wake up
1000: Played maple at home~
1400: Watched movie with SY and William
Thanks William for the movie treat! ^^ SY must have been really busy, since he was extremely reluctant to go Causeway point as it was dam far.
1830: Night outing with Marcus and JM
Went to Admiralty park Sakura to have dinner. ^^ Not much difference from other Sakura outlets, but the place somehow is quite unique, as it is situated in a park.
Tried out the HK style fish, siew mai, durian fireball as new items compared to the previous few buffets & Sakura outing food. The fish was excellent! If this dish was sold in Yishun canteen at 1 dollar, I may spam it everyday, wahaha. ^^ The siew mai was not as nice as I thought. The durian fireball was ok though! =D
Not much about the food, but the feeling of eating with your friends and hear them sharing about their interesting instructor lives is heartwarming. ^^
After the meal, went back to my house to rest for awhile before setting off to CP to watch another movie. Tired sia, I slept during some parts of the movie. 1st time I experienced how Warren felt while watching FF4. haha =D
So thats's about it for the night. Thanks Marcus and JM for the dinner treat, and for taking up your night rest time to celebrate with me! ^^ Not easy sia, for an instructor to not sleep during a weekday night.
Oh ya, also must thank Zul and SGT Khin for wishing me happy birthday also. Ya I am touched. =P Also, thanks everybody who wished me HB! XD

3. Dim sum with parents
Overall: Shiok ar!
Went to Chinatown with my parents to eat at Yum Cha restaurant. Definitely a surprise, because I thought they want to give offerings or smth as a routine.
Dishes tried out:
Steamed~
Siew Mai (1 of the best. The meat is dam tender)
Prawn dumplings (Not bad, but rather ex)
Pork ribs with yam cake (Normal, rather special with the yam)
Shark-fin Xiao Long Pau (A lot of soup! Can't taste the shark-fin)
Chicken pau (Very nice. =P)
Char Siew Chee Cheong Fun (Very sweet! The char siew is quite soft also)
Chicken Glutinous Rice (Not bad. A bit sticky though)
Fried~
Fish fingers (The best dish for the whole lunch)
egg tart (Delicious! But not very different from outside)
custard roll (Dam nice!)
Fried You Tiao (Okay lah...)
Cooked~
Beef balls (A bit ex. Dont really like this dish)
The food power sia! But don't expect to be full after the meal. The bill also power, amounted to about 80 dollars for 3 ppl. -.- A pity it is all Ala Carte menu, if only there is a dim sum buffet, I will sure spam all the food items at double the price~ Wahaha!
After lunch, we walked around Chinatown for about an hour? Bought 2 small calenders for 1 dollar. The uncle was very funny though, when I asked how come the calender dosent show public holidays, he told me it is ok. Heng I dun need a public holiday calender (since I am on rota shift), if not I seriously wonder how he is going to sell all these calenders sia! Perhaps ppl would highlight the public holidays with a red marker or highlighter? =D
1 for 50 cents, ok la. Can mark out all the day and night shifts.
Must thank my parents for the treat! ^^

4. 2-off happenings (13/6 and 14/6)
A rather busy off-block. Got 1 firefighter went 'Walao Eh!' when I told him how I would spend the off.
13/6 (Mon)
0830: RT (Aiyo sian)
The only interesting thing is before I left station, got 1 SGT suddenly hyperventilate, in the end SGT Khin, being the only PM left, went to rescue him. Epic sia!
1200: Outing / chat with mei~
Should have listened to Koh JH's advice on reaching at 1pm. Bo bian just walk around and somehow the hour passed... Went to Ishi Mura @ 5th floor. (The place where I called Safra Jurong in JC)
Ate the chicken cutlet omelette rice and 16 small egg sushi for $8.30 total. So just talked about life, her studies and maple for about 2+ hours. Went to shop for some biscuits and cake after that, and then chatted more at a random course while eating tako for another 30 mins.
It was about about 5+ when I got home. Power sia, can chat so long. Nice outing though. And nope we didnt go anybody's house / hotel, in case if anybody wondered for any reason. Haha~
14/6 (Tue)
1145: TP BTT
Passed! 48 out of 50, dunno where I got wrong but nvm. Trial test I got full marks sia, wondered how come this time got 2 wrong. Going to apply for PDL during next off-block. Perhaps that should kill some time during my future weekday offs. =D
1400: IPPT & visiting Delta
Such a coincidence that is the enlistment date for 120th intake. How fast, it's been 3 months since 118 intake POP~ Once again reminded of recruit days, where the recruits live in fear of being punished every single day, the vigorous training and lessons. The fun and laughter with bunkmates, esp WB. The morning breakfast where Marcus always told the group his brother is a LTA in army. -.-
120th intake is going to have the best time of their NS life for 3 months. ^^
Somehow there were some leftover food for parents, and so I got a share or 2? Oh wait, it was 3 packets of food I got. The food was rather nice and the packaging was great! Was it Sodexo which prepared this? =P
1 packet of food: 1 chicken pie, 1 ham & cheese sandwich, 1 peanut swiss roll, 1 apple, 1 random pudding, 1 packet of orange juice. Really nice leh! If only Yishun sells this for 2 dollars. =P
Aaron went back also since he got a storeman course. Weird sia, he became clerk le still go for this course. Probably he is tasked to arrange the store of white papers needed in an office. Chatted with him and a few 119th people about life. A pity never see SGT Marzuq. It would be more fun! =D Left Delta at 6+, I wonder when will it be the next time I can visit.
Oh wait, since this sub-topic has IPPT, i shall mention a bit.
Failed, running improve by 1 min since the previous IPPT. The end.

5. Spending the June 6-day break.
Break period: 17/6 - 22/6
17/6 (Fri)
Never sleep after the night shift, instead I followed my father to deliver his goods all the way until late afternoon. During the lunch break, he brought me to POLAR factory, and woah a lot of cakes inside sia! The prices were rather cheap, 1 sugar roll would be sold at around $1.35 outside, but the factory sold 2 for around $1.50. I brought 1 normal box and 1 chocolate box for $3.55 total. Delicious! =D
Went out with Tean, JM and SY for dinner at Lot 1. Talked a bit about life and hear Tean enthusiastically saying about his air force life. Boring. Hmm. Chatted until 9+, and I slept straightaway after I reached home and bathe.
18/6 (Sat)
Rested at home in the morning. Afternoon went out with Tean and Warren to watch movie at CP. Rather nice. Warren apparently went to Lot 1 and called me at 2.15pm to tell me he would be late. Anyhow sia!!! After the movie, we went to mac and chat about life (again). I realised my main activity outside is always movie and talking about life sia. No clubbing, not many physical outings (eg Zul and his cycling club).
Oh anyway, Tean talked about his air force life (again), and War talked about his moments as a recruit. Unexpectedly War survived well sia, unlike his buddy who kena heat injury and must be sent in a helicopter to CGH. A pity War turned down SCS course, or he could be a Sergeant already. Sure would be funny if he becomes a Sergeant and sing the 'Knock It Down' song. ^^
At night, had a 03 outing after a very long time. Met up with Demas, Benjamin, RJ, WJ, Keith and SY. We went to Carl's Jr. for dinner. First time in my life, and it was seriously crowded. O_O Ordered one mushroom burger set meal which cost about $15? (Walao eh damn ex) Compared to other normal beef burgers, this one is really large and the meat has a grilled taste. Solid meat, delicious! ^^ The fries ok la, thick fries which taste just about the same as other fries. Drinks free flow, fantastic~ =P
While eating, everybody else was talking about army life... Talk about RJ inside SCS course, WJ being clerk, SY complaining about his life as always, etc. Seems like almost everybody (maybe except SY) is having a rather good life now, and had interesting experiences.
~Civil Defence is done in an urban setting, no need for forests and field camps, wahaha~
A lot of people was sianned about booking in on Sunday night / Monday morning. For some reason, I was the last person to be asked on when I book in. Epic sia, the moment.
Demas: Eh Jeff, when you booking in ar? Sunday or Monday?
Me: Oh, Thursday night.
(Someone else): Eh, then which camp you book in?
Me: Yishun Fire Station.
Ben: Wa, not a camp, but a Fire Station somemore.
Perhaps I should summarise all the advantages an ambulance medic have. =P
An ambulance medic has the best rota shift (DDOONNOO), around 12 hours per shift, can get to go home everyday, and can get to strip girls clothings (12-lead), wad more can a medic ask for? =D
Ok la, I agree to every part except the girl's one, I station 2 months only did that twice sia!
Before we went for the movie, William came! (Wow!) Helped us to take 2 photographs and thank you for his participation. Watched Green Lantern, rather nice. =P
That's it for the outing! Really enjoyed it. Pity ZH and William never join. Haix.
~~~
19/6 (Sun)
Went with parents to Geylang and eat durian. Nice! =D Other than that, just rested at home.
20/6 (Mon) to 22/6 (Wed)
Rested at home. A serious waste of time. I rather go back station work and put the leave at other days sia.
July never take leave. August onwards until December must have at least a 1-week break per month. Hope it is eventful like the May leave week. =D
--------------------------------
6. Other random stuff.
Watched Kung Fu Panda, Green Lantern, X-men (1st class) for June. All 3 are nice! =P
Kung Fu Panda is funny, and finally the panda realised his father shouldn't be a crane, how slow. XD
Green Lantern was not bad, the boss like a bit easy to defeat sia! Should have added more HP or avoid stats to it. Can make anything you want with the green light sia. If only medics got the green lantern, I would make an X-ray machine that could see through the trauma bag and ambulance cabinets. Like that check would be much easier as I dun need to open up / zip open the compartments. Wahaha! =P
X-men was quite long... The ending was rather unexpected, maybe because I didn't know much about X-men anyway. The theme of betrayal is rather evident...
================================
Thats all for this long post! =D
