The jellyfish is back! Nvr blog for a long time already, so a few updates on recent outings. :D

Content

1. Random saturday outing
2. 2 random outings with my mei~ =P
3. Zhen Wen's wedding
4. F1~

==================================

1. Sat outing on 17/9

Weekends are usually peaceful as people would want to rest at home to prepare for a whole week of intense torture or heat-rash (haha for War only) in Army. For some reason, WL and Tean feels like having a full day outing on that auspicious same day, so went for half each. Haha. XD

After Friday's night shift, slept or a few hours, then went to west mall with PH, War and WL to watch Johnny English Reborn. An extremely funny movie, perfect for a person like me, wahaha! The airplane and helicopter part are really anyhow.

(Helicopter) Your current Altitude? Inches?
(Airplane) Susan pronounce as Su-san to make it sound like a guy's name. Lol!

Shall give it 10/10. =P

After the movie, we went to mac and hear War bombarding army stuff to PH. Boring. WL was having a lot of trouble with his rather big chicken burger, and somehow all the contents keep on dropping onto the box. War enjoyed the fries a lot, until want to leave mac also want to take WL's fries! Lol! =P

They wanted to eat buffet at an unknown place, but somehow PH and me cannot make it, so I think the buffet was cancelled.

--------------

So after the 1st half, rushed to JE to find Tean and JM, which JM showed no hesitation in reminding me that I was late... Ps ar :D

Went to Sakura - Science Center to eat. 1st time there, and it was seriously a small outlet compared to Clementi or Admiralty Park. The variety somehow seems lesser also, other than that the taste is about the same. Tried coconut ice-cream and the steamed white chicken. Both are not bad, but it dosent seem to be better than normal places.

Chat a lot of rubbish and random stuff. From Tean's 3SG rank to CD day to outside life to JM's macroons, etc. At about 9pm, we left Sakura and played with the physical exhibitions outside science center. The random Sound tubes, the musical instruments and the piece-less chess board. Since there were no chess piece, we acted as chess pieces and places my bag, cape and medic notes as obstacles, while trying to survive on the board.

No life sia, but at least it was entertaining. =P Saw 1 Jurong ambulance along the road, it was another busy night for Jurong, haha.

2. Outing with my mei

1 was at Citysquare (again) and another 1 was at Nex.

- Citysquare outing

Ate at the cheap Italian restaurant which somehow had a drinks bar. The restaurant quite amazing sia. You can press a button on the table to call for the waiters, unlike most restaurants where u still have to wave or start eye contact. Once u said u want the drinks bar, u have a lot of choices, from juices to soft drinks to ice water to hot beverages and roasted beans coffee. The food is seriously cheap. I think the most expensive dish is $11?

We ordered a plate of sausages, 2 pastas, 2 sets of soup and salad, and drinks bar service for 2, amounting to $30. The only bad thing is the quality, it is not as nice as pastamania, so that should be the balancing factor for the cheap price.

Got 1 woman using the cappucino machine like very hard sia, she literally jumped at the sight of the hot steam~ Children are also amused by the large variety of drinks, lol~ An entertaining sight to watch while eating.

Ate until full, power! After that, we walked around citysquare when a guy called my mei to wait for him. o.o We waited for almost an hour, so ordered 1 strawberry sundae and enjoying while waiting.

The guy finally came. Later I know that he is called Leonard, and it was definitely an epic 1st encounter with him. Apparently he wanted to celebrate my mei's birthday, and somehow the table of girls behind seemed interested, so must well all help to sing birthday song. Haha!

Went home after that. Very abrupt ending. (Sounds weird, but nvm)

- Nex outing

Not counting the CA exercise during July, it was my 1st time visiting Nex. ^^

VERY big sia! I really got lost inside the shopping center. A lot of random shops at random floors. The escalators like anyhow place de sia, so must really familiarise with the shopping center then can have a pleasant experience.

My mei was late for about an hour. (Retribution for being late for JM's outing) We ate subway before watching 'Crazy, Stupid Love'. Wanted to watch Cars 2, but the timing was off.

The movie is as funny as Johnny English. Really enjoyed it! The funniest part should be the teenage guy, so young want to have a girl already sia! XD

A connected love chain is so troublesome, hope next time I wont kena this. =P

After the movie, brought a bread and went off le. Rushing for time that day. Thanks to someone for being an hour late. =X

3. Zhen Wen's wedding (10th Sep, 1330hrs)

ZW and WR's wedding was held at a random church at Sembawang on a bright and beautiful Saturday afternoon. The location is seriously very ulu, I passed by Yishun and Sembawang so many times also bo notice it sia.

Danny fetched me and Encik Fazly to go the wedding venue. First time entering a real proper church and looking at a church wedding. Before going into the church, we signed the wedding wishes card and gave a red packet. 1st time I give red packet, haha lol~

Non-standby ambulance crew to location, random church in Sembawang, case of Wedding.

The wedding / church hall is rather big and has air-con. I actually expected a non air-conditioned area... A lot of people were there already, and the priest had already started with the pre-wedding prayers. Just took a spot and watched the rest of the wedding procedures. The theory of the couple is interesting. Should the husband dote on the wife first or should the wife listen to the husband first? Sounds a bit like the egg or chicken come first. =P

After the theory, it is the marriage vow, the kiss, the lighting of the candle, the signing of the marriage certificate. Very romantic sia, it is so good to have a gf. Aw.

The video montague after that was entertaining. Most of the pics were taken when the couple was in Army or CD sia, they must have loved uniformed group life a lot, unlike a lot of NSF. Encik Fazly was featured in Yishun Fire Station, he must be very happy about this~ :D Photo-taking was the last part, and there were seriously A LOT of relatives sia! Basically can form dunno how many fire-fighter rotas already.

The couple very nice rite? ^^

This was the wedding photo with friends and well-wishes. (Part 7 of the photo-taking) The relatives took about another 4 parts of the photo-taking, so you can go guess how many people were there. XD

After the photo-taking was the buffet. A serious lack of space, but nvm. The food was not bad, ate fried chicken, fish, a bit of cake, Cheng Ting, cherry tomatoes, random tuna and egg tarts... I still think PJ's buffet is nicer, but oh well! :D Took an ambulance crew photo with the couple, but cannot find it. Aw. :(

After that went home. Nah, proceeded to Woodlands swimming complex to swim with JM, but thats a minor thing, so not posting about it. =P

4. F1!

This was one of the weekends where almost everybody I know ask me to go out, even unexpected outings like P1 outing. Rejected all of them cos kena F1, aw. Went F1 with Maam Genevie, Encik Istamar and Anish.

-> Day 1

Reached station at 6am, and checked that a lot of things failed on me unexpectedly... After the check, proceeded to Marina Bay straightaway. The standby area was a random white tent on the roof of a 2-storey building. A bit small, but nvm. The power generator had some problem, and it kept on restarting, haix.

So just did Sudoku, ate some tidbits and listened to the fire side revision plan in the afternoon. Nothing much bah, and it is good that the day is peaceful. :)

Lunch was not bad, 2 KFC fried chicken and a mashed potato. Dinner was spaghetti with sausage, wedges, some sotong rings along with a packet of pastries for snacks. Throw in 1 more cone ice-cream inside. Haha. Really is eat until full sia.

Day 1 was the practice sessions of the F1 cars. Saw a bit of the cars in operation while walking to the toilet. Very loud, but practice sessions shouldnt be very interesting. haha. The night sessions were shown on the Sports TV though.

Reached home at 1am. A long but not very tiring day has passed.

-> Day 2

Reporting time was 8.45am at station. Reached Marina Bay quite early also, so we went to the food court to slack. The food presentation is definitely traditional, but the price is definitely into the future. 1 ice milo and 1 slice of toast cost $3.30. I think my downstairs chicken rice cheaper than that sia. Saw a lot of stores with the past traditional names, but somehow dunno much about them... o.o

Everything was about the same as Day 1. Lunch was a fillet-o-fish w/o cheese and tartar sauce, plus 1 more apple pie. Dinner was strange, so I didnt eat that. Ate more of the puffs and pies though.

Watched more movies that day. The contractor also put some wooden floorboards to prevent flooding of the area when raining. I dunno how it helps though, until I spilled a large amount of water from the ice-box. O_O

Day 2 was the qualifying round to see who get into the finals the next day. Got 1 car crashed onto to the kerb, aw! Heng bo activated. Boring also sia, maybe because I don't know how to appreciate the art of racing. :P

-> Day 3

Finals of the F1 race! About the same as Day 2. Except that the race started at 8pm instead of 9 or 10. People need to work on Monday ma, so must end early to rest early. :)

Ate my 3 meals in F1. Breakfast was Mee Goreng, which was quite nice. Lunch was fried rice with teriyaki chicken, fried fish and fried brinjal (!?). Quite nice, but a lot of things were fried. Dinner and snack consisted of chicken burger, coleslaw, onion rings, wedges, samosa, curry puff, kueh lapis and a hard round doughnut? Skipped the chicken burger, it smelled strange. Ate my dinner outside of the tent, while listening to the F1 cars zooming by. It was also the 1st time I saw SCDF comissioner.

CPT Tay made 100% fresh orange juice with a garlic chopper for some random reason. Support him a few cups. Watched the last few laps on tv, and saw 1 crashing the kerb on the 60th lap, suay. Spent most of the time doing sudoku.

Overall the 3 days were peaceful, thankfully. ^^ Before the F1, I don't understand why people would spend over hundred dollars to watch the cars zooming past them for 61 rounds. After this standby, I still DON'T understand why people would do that, it is seriously nothing interesting, watch on TV at least still can follow the car's track sia. Don't give bullshit answers like help support the economy that's why buy 1 ticket, I will laugh and smack u. =P

Experience of a lifetime! ^^

That's all! End of a fairly long post. ^^
